Q. Is the class for adults?
A. Yes. We occasionally have a teenager or two, but the classes are intended for
adults. We also offer separate classes for children aged 8-13.
Q. How many people are usually in each class?
A. Usually 8-12 people per session. The classes are taught by
two instructors to ensure maximum individual attention to participants.
Q. Do you provide the equipment?
A. Yes. We provide the masks, jackets, gloves, weapons, protective undergear
and electric scoring equipment.
Q. What should I wear?
A. Workout clothing and tennis shoes. Sweats or leggings will be required for
classes 4, 5, & 6.
Q.Who teaches the class?
A. Geoff Russell and Amy Fortune teach all classes.
Q. Is Fortune Fencing affiliated with a recognized fencing organization?
A. Yes. We are a member club of the United
States Fencing Association.
Q. Is fencing safe?
A. Yes. With proper instruction and supervision, fencing is very safe.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. The cost is $125 per person for the six week course.
Q. Can I makeup classes that I miss during the 6 week session?
A. Yes. Make-ups can be arranged during our regular business hours.
Q. What classes are available after Epee I?
A. The group classes continue with Epee II. Graduates of Epee I are encouraged
to participate in the Epee II. Private
lessons are also an option.
